The concept note submission process for the EU-Türkiye Climate Change Grant Programme officially ended on 16 December 2024. The programme marks a significant step in supporting local-level climate change adaptation and/or mitigation projects and has received widespread interest across Türkiye. Co-financed by the European Union and the Republic of Türkiye, the programme will provide grants ranging from €250,000 to €750,000 to support the implementation of climate-resilient and low-carbon projects throughout the country.
Applications were submitted by a wide range of stakeholders, including municipalities, unions of municipalities, local authorities, universities, research institutions, development agencies, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), non-profit unions and cooperatives, chambers of commerce and industry, and organized industrial zones (OIZs). We thank all applicants for their interest and contributions toward the programme’s objectives.

During the concept note preparation period, 12 informative sessions were organized to provide potential applicants with comprehensive information on the programme’s objectives, eligibility criteria, and application processes. These sessions were held throughout November, both in-person in Ankara, İzmir, Erzurum, İstanbul, and Antalya and virtually via online platforms. Participants had the opportunity to ask questions to experts and received detailed guidance through presentations.
The evaluation process for the submitted concept notes will begin in the coming days. Announcements regarding the full application phase and subsequent steps will be shared regularly. For updates and detailed information, we encourage you to visit:
